Frequently Asked Questions

HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT ENGINEERED HARDWOOD? WE HAVE ANSWERS

Q.Where can I buy your floors?

Our floors are available exclusively through our distribution partner, American Products, Inc. (AMPRO), and can be purchased through www.ampro-online.com.

Q.What type of underlayment is recommended?

For our solid and engineered hardwood flooring, we recommend using 15lb roofing paper, Aquabar moisture barrier, or Wakol PU-280 moisture barrier.

For our SPC Luxury Vinyl flooring, no underlayment is required.

Q.Can your floors be installed over radiant heat?

No.

Q.Are there transition pieces available?

Yes. Transition pieces for all of our products are available through our distribution partner, American Products, Inc. (AMPRO). www.ampro-online.com

Q.Can your floors be refinished?

All of our solid and engineered hardwood floors can be refinished. SPC Luxury Vinyl flooring cannot be refinished.

Q.Is there a warranty?

Yes, our flooring includes the following warranties:

Solid Hardwood Flooring - Lifetime Structural Warranty, 35-Year Wear Layer Warranty

Engineered Hardwood Flooring - 25-Year Residential Warranty, 5-Year Light Commercial Warranty

SPC Luxury Vinyl - 25-Year Residential, 10-Year Light Commercial

Q.How many square feet do I need?

To calculate the square footage of flooring that will be needed for a room, multiply that room’s width by it’s length. We recommend adding 10% to that number to allow for waste and damaged boards.

Q.Do your floors need to be acclimated?

For all solid and engineered hardwood floors, yes. Hardwood flooring needs to be acclimated for at least 3-5 days, but we would recommend closer to 2 weeks, if possible. To acclimate, simply store the wood in the room where it will be installed prior to the job.

SPC Luxury Vinyl flooring does not require acclimation.
